Every business relies on people. Investment in their training should be part of every company’s development strategy. This is not always the case, but the training costs incurred by the employer with its employees are directly proportional with the skills and competences acquired by them after attending paid job training. There are situations where small investments bring significant results, if you have employees who are qualified trainers for paid job training.

Trainers are people appointed from among employees by the employer in order to provide training at this level through special contracts. Some examples of paid job training are contract professional qualification and vocational adjustment contract, which are special training contracts held by the employer through its employees who have qualifications and experience to be done in the training. Both these types of paid job training are concluded for a specific term.

Generally, a professional qualification contract is concluded for a period between six months and two years, and a professional adaptation contract may be concluded in some cases for a definite period, but generally not for more than one year. For paid job training programs, a trainer can provide paid job training at the same time, for up to 3 employees. This training activity is included in the trainer’s normal working hours.

The trainer is required to help inform and advise the employee during the term of special paid job training by fulfilling their duties to oversee the post occupied by the employee in training. You will also have to participate in evaluating the employee who received training.

From the methods of training at work, you can choose between training in the workplace; rotation on stations, mentoring.

Training at work

The employee is trained by an instructor (who may be an older experienced employee) and you learn how to perform tasks relating to employment. A paid job training that works as a variant of this method is discipleship.

Rotation on stations

The employee who completes paid job training is asked to perform specific tasks for more posts, so that they will come to know the activity of the entire department. Rotation on stations allows the person who completes a paid job training to obtain an overview and at the same time, allows a better assessment of their potential.

Mentoring

This method involves a special relationship, usually on a long term, between an employee with more experience who is willing to provide support, and a newcomer in the company, who is eager to grow with another person within paid job training.

Sometimes paid job training is available in some activities that train all the company or a large part of it and usually many employees do not perceive them as distinct methods.

This is the case for example, of projects and studies, delegations of tasks, participation in heterogeneous groups and various activities (not counting the usual division between departments).

We recommend using paid job training methods whenever you get a chance, because in this way the motivation to work, knowledge and desire for improvement increase, and last, but not least, it may bounce the self-esteem and loyalty to the company.

The advantages of paid job training in the workplace are:

–          Theoretical knowledge can be transferred quickly in practice.

–          Paid job training does not increase the actual work duration of the person who is trained.

–          Employees do not need to be removed from their place of work in order to complete paid job training.

–          The costs are reduced.

–          The equipment used during paid job training are the actual ones that will be used in work related activities later on.

–          Paid job training may increase safety at work.

–          Paid training jobs improve the mood and increase the prospective employee’s level of cooperation between different departments.

Some of the disadvantages of paid job training methods in the workplace are:

–          The instructor (usually a supervisor or an employee with experience) may have a lower level of training or not enough time available.

–          The student can acquire wrong knowledge or skills.

–          It can affect the expensive equipment.

–          You cannot send sufficient theoretical knowledge.

–          Paid job training can sometimes take place in a hostile environment (stress, noise, congestion, etc..).

Paid job training  are excellent choices for those who wish to learn more about a company or industry before actually working there. In order to get such paid training jobs, many employees need to have a degree, so you should consider getting one online if you have not graduated from a university in order to increase your chances of getting paid job training.
